Country Hideaway

Escaping to the Country

It's been a while so let me see if I can remember how this works, putting more than a few random words on paper that is.

We escaped to the country at the weekend.  To be honest it was my husband who found this little gem on the https://www.wildatlanticway.com/home
http://www.castlemurray.com/ Castle Murray Boutique House.

The drive was 2 hours 39 minutes from Belfast or where we live and wow the drive was so well worth it

It helped that the skies were clear blue , but seriously look at that view.  As soon as we got out of the car, I just had to take a breath of clean country air.

When you get to the top of the house and look over this idyllic view.
The house is owned and managed by Magarite and Peter with the front of running being carefully looked after by Fabris from France (he stayed on from the previous French owners)

We were taken to our room which just took my breath away, it's not called boutique for no reason.
we were shown around the house and look at this the bar was self-service, all we needed to do was to write down what we had, no stress.

We decided to eat in and the menu was delicious.  The chef was also the owner, Peter worked on a boat off the coast of Africa and this made me happy, he knew about a braai and our steaks were cooked perfectly.
Breakfast was superb and again we got the most perfect day, it was freezing cold but that's what being in the country is all about, sitting in front of the fire

We drove to St Johns Point https://www.greatlighthouses.com/lighthouses/st-johns-point-2 the next morning and this made me so happy, to see cows roaming around freely on the beach.

Will we be back, most definitely.
